Shema Summons Mars and Mercury

Shema Summons Mars and Mercury. So far we’ve seen the first six words of the Shema summoning the magic squares of the Moon, Saturn and Jupiter. But yet, the opening line of the Shema goes further. The Shema also calls on the magic squares of Mars and Mercury: Five by five and eight by eight. Let’s look at the what we have so far:

Shema summons Mars and Mercury. We need to know two principles for the application: (1) Zero was considered to be a synthetic number. Opposite numbers combined in the magic 3 x 3 square to create ten. Examples (see above) are 3 + 7 or 9 + 1. Only nine real primary numbers were recognized as the magic square graphically demonstrates. Our second factor is knowing the characteristic numbers of magic squares: Adding opposite numbers all with the same totals, such as what was just given, characterize the 3 x 3 or any magic square. Then any row straight across the entire magic square also has its own same total. Here we find the parallel between the 5 x 5 and 8 x 8 which is the theme of this post:

Any two opposite numbers on the 5 x 5 magic square total 26. Examples are 11 + 15; or 12 + 24 etc.

Any row of eight numbers on the 8 x 8 magic square totals 260.

These two similarities of 5 and eight thru their magic squares shows they have a strong kinship. Ironically, they also have a strong kinship through the Fibonacci series as they are consecutive numbers: 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34……

Here’s the tie in to the Shema: The spelling of the Tetragrammaton with the (yud- hei-vav-hei) totals 26! It appears twice in the context of the six words of its opening sentence. Thus, the 1st appearance ties into the 5 x 5 magic square and the second appearance ties into the 8 x 8 magic square. So far, five magic squares have been reference by the 1st sentence of this most sacred Hebraic prayer.
