En Sof & Egyptian Remen. Defining terms: Ein Sof may be translated as “unending”, “(there is) no end”, or infinity.[1] By contrast, the Egyptian remen defines measurement by units 1.2165 feet or 14.6 inches. A remen contains, by its very nature, a beginning and an ending.
En Sof makes reference to the remen measurement in a numerical fashion. Then it states that the remen is not a part of it. In Hebrew letters doubled as numbers. There was no separate notation system for each say as there are in English. This has a Greek name, “gematria”. אֵין סוֹף ʾēn sōf. Hebrew is written from right to left. The first word, meaning “no” or nothing” “en”, equals 61. Sof, being the second word, equals 146. Adding the two words as, 61 + 146 = 207. As written above, a remen is 14.6 inches. It has an ending, like the remen, because it can be measured. Most significantly, “sof” or ending, uses the same numbers as the remen converted to inches.
Light also cannot be measured. In Hebrew the word for “light” אוֹר is aleph, vav and reisch. In numbers that equals 1 + 6 + 200 = 207. You cannot measure light, that is, take a ruler or yardstick to it. Light is equated by number with En Sof (no ending) as both equal 207. All this points to the existence of a once advanced civilization, that preserved knowledge in “number/letters” in Hebrew. British antiquarian, John Michell, writes extensively on this subject in his some 41 of his published books and they all are worth reading. Where we differ is I go into magic squares a lot more deeply as you can read on this website.
