Tel Batash

Tel Batash, also known as the biblical Timnah, measures six hundred and fifty-six feet on each side of its squarish base.

Timnah is a site mentioned in the Bible as being in the Judean Foothills (the Shephelah). It is identified at Tel Batash (Arabic: Tel Butashi), an archaeological site along the Soreq valley, about 4 miles northwest of Beth Shemesh.

The site is a square of six-fifty-six feet on each side. The perimeter spans nine hundred and sixty-two megalithic yards. An exciting new discovery at Tel Beth Shemesh – is it could have been the site where the Ark of the covenant was kept after its return from Philistine captivity.

This site draws its inspiration and legitimacy from the ancient temple plan which I sketched just above. It was also known as the biblical Timnah. As mentioned above, it measures six hundred and fifty-six feet on each side of its squarish base. Footage totals 2624 around the perimeter as 4 x 656 = 2624. The megalithic yard, without repeated numbers, equals 2.72 feet. A second way in which the megalithic yard was used was with repeated numbers two and seven: 2.7272727…feet. This way of figuring the footage of the megalithic yard is ascertained by dividing 30/11 for the repeated number figure. If we use the repeated number figure for the megalithic yard, the footage around the perimeter becomes 962 feet. Look at the inner rectangle of the ancient temple plan. Line AS (width) is six hundred and ten by number whereas line AP (width) is three hundred and fifty two: 610 + 352 = 962. The means this site draws its inspiration or measure from one length and one width of the inner rectangle. Reviving Antiquity has as its goal universal harmony that can be accomplished by refurbishing or rebuilding sites built by the ancient temple plan which is a manifestation of magic squares of numbers. Balance, the key is offered by magic squares.
