Judaic Vesica translates to “vessel of Judaism”- the same vessel used by religions throughout history. In Judaism it runs a line from the number of letters used in the Torah to numerical value of the letters used in used to write the Ten Mosaic commandments. Letters used to and still do double as numbers in Hebrew. Other languages use separate symbols for letters and numbers.
By the square root of three, starting with a width of 176,000 (line CD on the higher diagram), the length becomes 304,841. The Torah contains 304,805 letters. Doing the arithmetic, 304,841 is higher by 36. To account for this 36 symbols were taken out and used as templets, or stamps is you will, to create the Torah. This comprises 27 letters (22 primary letters and 5 with special forms for letters that end words). Since “zero” was not recognized as a real number until later in history, at first there were only nine recognized numbers.
Take the length of the 304,841 vesica and subtract the 36 symbols just mentioned: for the stamping out of the letters: 304,841 – 36 = 304,805. We have the number of letters in the Torah. Why is it important to start with a width of 176.000? That will be the subject of the next post. Also here are my internal and external links.
