Twelve Inches

A twelve inches in foot, as we know it today in the U.S. and Britain, existed in antiquity. Here’s one way we know. A standard unit of weight exist in Greece and Egypt asa cubit inch of gold. Specimens can be seen at the British Museum. Its defining inch becomes the basis of the foot: Cubes have twelve edges: 12 Edges x 1 inch/edge = 12 inches, or one foot.

This is one ancient source of the twelve inch foot. Another source, most likely, is the 3 x 3 number square which becomes three inches on each side as three multiply by four equals the classic dozen or twelve!

Many of the measurements of antiquity come reasonably close to revealing themselves. If we make each of the legs of this right triangle twelve inches in length. The oldest and most basic, the 3.41 inch hunab, comes out exactly. From this right triangle, consider the following:

AD + CD = 1.707 FEET. one shorter Egyptian cubit = 1.718 FEET

AC + AB + either (BD or DB) = 2.707 feet. One megalithic yard = 2.72 feet.

CD + CA = 1.207 feet. One Egyptian remen = 1.2165 feet.

AC + CB + AB = 3.41 feet. One hunab = 3.41 feet. The Central American hunab was thought to be the most ancient of all measures. In the pre-Genesis antiquity, the Deity was called by the name “Emesh”- which spelt with the prime Hebrew letters, which are the 3 mothers of all the other Hebrew letters- alef (1) , mem (40) and shin (300)- have a combined gematria of 341.
